Jack of Suits

This is the working seat of a philosophical project fifteen years in the making. The aim is modest in form and immodest in scope — to lay down an intellectual tradition another may finish. The public root of that project is a book called Creating Ethics. Around it has grown a system: eight frameworks of thought and practice gathered under the name Amovera, with a single principle for a spine.

The writing here is published under four personas — one for each suit. The Jack of Diamonds writes the philosophy. The Jack of Clubs writes the investigative work and pamphlets. The Jack of Spades and the Jack of Hearts hold their own offices. The fourfold figure that moves between them is the Jack of Suits — the name this site carries. The legal name on the work is Jack M. N. Gladstone. None of these names should be confused with the private person behind them.
